The Olive Tree Mediterranean Restaurant – Hiram GA

The center spot of Downtown Hiram, GA, (which you know, if you live here, literally consists of a 2 corner crossroads = not much!) The Olive Tree hosted our company annual holiday party this year.

I’ll be honest, the less I can find online about a place, the more wary I am. In this case, however, the lack of Google positioning, dedicated site, or posted reviews for the particular location was not to be taken as a bad sign. This quaint and cozy spot, with exposed brick walls, candlelight and wafting aromas reminiscent of the coasts of Italy/Greece, boasted helpful and accommodating staff who brought us a very satisfactory experience from start to finish.

Our evening selections of lasagna (one of the best I’ve enjoyed!), Fettuccine Alfredo (classic style) and Penne Carbonara (by far the best I’ve ever had) also included garlic rolls, soft drinks, coffee, salad and dessert (to the tune of pumpkin cheesecake and almond creme cake) for our large group came to under $20 per person. With the delightful atmosphere and (can I say again) extremely accommodating staff, we were all more than satisfied with the fullness of the evening.

Recommended not only for a date night meal, but also for your groups, the owner also maintains 2 other locations (Villa Rica and the mother kitchen of 16 years in Lithia Springs) and provides catering as well as many different specials (including a dinner theatre!).

(Note for locals: the location is between Downtown Dance & Main Street Antiques, where the Irish Pub used to be, across from the railroad tracks below Hwy. 92).
