Moments in Time: Cork and Bean – Bryson City

05/22/2010

Many travelers find themselves drifting to the small-town coffeehouse atmosphere coveted and enjoyed by the eclectic, the bohemian, the artistic, the simplicity seekers. Sitting at mix-matched tables and chairs, enjoying a porcelain cup of organic fair-trade coffee or … a glass of wine and an avocado, spinach and gouda cheese crepe?!

The Cork and Bean, located on the first corner of the downtown Bryson City stretch opened just a few months ago and struck my husband and I as one of the most pleasing

atmospheric coffee-houses we have enjoyed. The crepes were tasty and a good value, and the ambience of small town meets eclectic decor was peaceful and enjoyable. A hearty recommendation for this clever idea of light fare paired with coffee and wine; we became fans instantly.
