6 Ways to Save Time & Money with A Food Processor

05/18/2010

1) Bread Crumbs – Toast bread, cut into chunks and toss in your food processor for a few minutes. Time and money – saved!”
2) Peanut Butter – Grind peanuts for 2 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of peanut oil for smoother butter.
3) Baby Food – There’s no reason for a baby not to start eating table food sooner and save you having to buy expensive baby food. Our daughter was only 8 or so months old when she got to discover (and love) spaghetti and meatballs thanks to the food processor.
4) Freshly grated Mozzarella or Parmesan – Put hard cheese in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm, then toss in and grind.
5) Herbed butter – Mix a few sprigs of fresh or dried herbs with softened butter (or cream cheese) and mix together for fancy spreads.
6) Guacamole – Fresh avocado, a few tomato chunks, a little cilantro – do I need to go on?

We bought very little baby food for our little man. He ate whatever we made and he has an amazing palate now for an 18 month old. One of his favorite things to eat is sushi!
